Method: Salatul Layl consists of a total of 11 raka’ats, divided into the following prayers:

2. Salat ul-Shaf’a:  2 raka’ats
3. Salat ul-Witr:  1 raka’at

Salat ul-Layal: Recited as you would recite Salatul-Fajr except in the first set recite the surahs as stated below.

First Raka'at: Recite Sura Al-Ikhlas as the second surah.

Second Raka'at: Recite Sura Al-Kafirun as the second surah.

      Niyyah: Salatul Shaf'a

First Raka'at: Recite Sura An-Nas as the second surah.

Second Raka'at: Recite Sura Al-Falaq as the second surah.
